Nessie the Loch Ness Monster
Ask the parrot trainer!

Cryptozoology is the study of puzzling or undocumented creatures
not generally acknowledged by zoologists. Cryptozoologists usually
call these enigmatic animals “cryptids.”

Although Lady Henny’s TV show is mostly about endangered wildlife,
she and the “Thyme-Zone” film crew have searched for every cryptid
imaginable: Sasquatch, Kongamato, giant anacondas, the thylacine,
yetis and, most recently, the Mokele-mbembe.

Like Nessie, most cryptids are named after the places they live, and
local legend is largely responsible for their reputation. However, the Loch
Ness monster is one of the few cryptids to have a proper scientific name:
Nessiteras rhombopteryx.

The most famous cryptid of all - “Nessie” the Loch Ness Monster - is

Willoughby, on the other hand, loathes all mention of the monster and
adamantly insists that it is nothing but hype to attract tourists.

Nessie was first spotted by St Columba
in the year 560, but sightings have been
more frequent in the last forty years or so.
Scientists insist it would be impossible for
a plesiosaur to survive in the loch’s chilly
water, and that there would need to be a
whole family of them to have descended
from prehistoric times.

But perhaps there is another explanation ...
